Objectives

  • Manage the product portfolio of Niche Antioxidants in Asia Pacific
  • Optimize the regional product portfolio profitability for long term sustainability, with the clear target to earn cost of capital.
  • Steer demand, supply and pricing for respective products in the region

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and update the regional product group strategy for the assigned product range, based on the regional strategy.
  • Define pricing strategy. Set and monitor the target & limit prices in Asia Pacific, triggering price actions, if necessary
  • Analyze the cost development of the assigned products and determine pricing measures.
  • Negotiate and manage third party raw materials and tolling contracts in alignment with Operating Divisions (OD) global technology team.
  • Propose yearly budgets for the assigned products per sub-region.
  • Monitor the business results versus the budget as well as the long-term strategic path, define and initiate measures to achieve the target.
  • Perform regional market analyses, determine market trends and customer requirements.
  • Liaise with the sales organization and the product planner in order to align the forecast.
  • Ensure product quality and supply reliability in accordance with the expectation of our customers. Manage and support supply chain related activities for all downstream products, i.e., product allocations, forecast accuracy, stock levels.
  • Manage aging stocks.
  • Support Global Product Manager and R&D in launch of new products in Asia Pacific
  • Drive Regional competitive and market intelligence together with Market Intelligence function.
  • Oversee and support product stewardship, product qualification, product quality and packaging related matters in the region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Science, Business Administration, Chemistry or relevant disciplines.
  • At least 5-10 years of relevant experience within business roles from chemical industry.
  • Interpersonal and communication skill and a good team player.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Comfortable working within a matrix organization.
