RESPONSIBILITIES

Our team creates, delivers and supports digital applications for users managing the sale and distribution of goods between BASF divisions and end-customers. Working agile, we also enable functionality of core systems and processes, as well as partner and consult with stakeholders to innovate solutions proactively across multiple technology platforms to anticipate future needs.

We are seeking a professional to join our team as a Digitalization Specialist for Order Management Europe, where you will support our internal Business Partners in the role of a DevOps Engineer to implement innovative solutions within and beyond our SAP platform.

• In your new role, you will capture requirements and discuss them with business counterparts, transferring requirements into prioritized Epics and user stories with corresponding refinement.
• You will manage complex development environments in collaboration with a global team.
• In addition, you will design solutions for application enhancements and new applications for BASF Order to Cash processes, considering architecture, adherence to standards, integration aspects and total cost of ownership.
• You will ensure runnable, supportable, and stable solutions from a functional and technical point of view together with operations.
• Moreover, you will plan and provide cost estimations for complex projects, coordinate deployments via defined release processes and ensure compliant documentation according to required standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• degree in Computer Science or a related field as well as in-depth knowledge in order management processes
• proficiency in SAP Sales and Distribution Modules (SAP ERP/S4/HANA) and SAP customizing, development as well as debugging
• practical experience in ensuring adherence to standard and keep the S4 ERP core clean
• deep knowledge about Cloud Architecture, Cloud Solution Design, Cloud Security, and the SAP Business Technology Platform
• intensive experience with state-of-the-art integration expertise e.g. SAP CPI, REST APIs and API Management
• verry good communication skills, project management training and knowledge of agile methodologies in addition to a critical view on existing processes and structures
• very good English and German skills
