Where the chemistry happens…

Reporting to the Business Director, Specialties at our Florham Park office, you will successfully steer and optimize the specialty Amines products in your portfolio. As the key interface to Sales, Customer Care, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, R&D, Product Stewardship and Legal in North America (US, Mexico, Canada), you will be an active team player with excellent communication skills.

Your analytical skills and strategic thinking capabilities will allow you to optimize the profitability of your product portfolio, which currently represents ca. $60M sales based on an asset at our biggest North American production site at Geismar, LA, and selected imports from production facilities in Europe and Asia.

As a Product Manager, You Create Chemistry By...

  • Managing the product portfolio such that it earns a premium on the cost of capital. You will develop plans to support market growth according to the SBU strategy as well as being responsibile for product pricing and margin management.
  • Understanding the regional market structure’s economics, growth, trends, opportunities, value chain, customers, and competitive environment.
  • Implementing and managing the regional development, and commercial strategies for product portfolio, i.e. product positioning and business plan development and execution.
  • Guiding the sales force relative to product pricing and positioning, contract negotiations, competitive/market information, crisis management, customer/product action plans, and customer communications to align with the business/product strategies.
  • Focusing on increasing efficiency, you will actively drive continuous improvements of cost, production, quality, supply chain, and service levels focused on competitiveness, financial performance, and operational excellence.
  • Driving a product portfolio management, including launch, repositioning, quality, packaging, management of change, and withdrawal. You will also support innovation process for the product portfolio.
  • Collaborating across the organization, you will work with the Customer Care, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, R&D, and Regulatory organizations to successfully deliver business plan targets. As well as coordinate with Supply Chain to achieve operational strategies relative to demand planning (APO), product allocation, and inventory management.
  • Following up on new leads and opportunities, prioritize projects and commercialize projects to bring new sales each year.

If you...

  • Possess a Chemical Engineering/Chemistry degree or closely related field and industry experience, of which some should be in Marketing, Sales or Product Management. PhD is preferred.
  • Are able to think strategically
  • Possess solid business and financial acumen, as well as analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Have deep knowledge of value chains in markets served by the chemical industry
  • Posses excellent interpersonal communication skills, including: negotiation, influencing, presentation, reporting, and relationship building
  • Are able to demonstrate your strong skills relative to project coordination, time management, multi-tasking, and delivering on commitments, Possessing trong organizational skills will be a valued asset.
