In your role as Supply Chain Planning DevOps Engineer, your will Development and Support (DevOps) of our supply chain planning systems with:
- Start a training path to fully embrace BASF existing and new planning technology like APO, IBP and OMP
- Rollout of new Supply Chain Planning System, Process and Solution to various business units in region/global, working with diverse stakeholders in supply chain and commercial teams
- Work in an agile way within a virtual global team, learning by doing / shadowing colleagues and managing the system development/configuration/on-going support
- Work on user stories, change requests, actively pull and take over tasks and work self-organized in our squads
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as a Global / Regional expert of BASF digital supply chain team, Internal supporting BASF digital ambitions, helping our global digital service team to identify, execute and implement customer-centric digital
- Collaborate with colleagues in a self-organized way and in an agile team, quickly gain buildup knowledge on specific BASF supply chain planning processes
- Deep-dive into the supply chain planning environment and focus on Demand Planning
- Make best use of our BASF supply chain planning tools (like APO, IBP, GIB or OMP)
- Be part of supply chain planning specific squads to work on functional development, supply chain planning solutions design, system configuration as well as on-going support after roll out in BUs/ODs.
- Shape the future of BASF supply chain planning landscape by creating solution designs and intensively interact with business units on their specific requests.
- Proactively work in sprints, taking care of user stories
- Your daily routine will start with an agile stand-up meeting and you will work on functional designs and developments, technical setups and configurations, functional testing and documentation, debugging, user acceptance testing, post go-life ongoing support as well as training key users in various business units and countries, take care of master data setup etc
- Focus on the needs our internal customers and provide a sustainable and reliable post-go-live-services
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor or higher degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science
Working Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ developer experience in supply chain planning with good technical capability of system background (SAP APO, IBP, OMP or Internal others)
- Excellent communication skills in English with customers/Internal business partners
- Supply chain planning system functional design, testing, configuration and debugging Experience
Technical & Professional Knowledge:
- Solid DevOps knowledge of supply chain planning related solutions
- Process knowledge of supply chain planning at least in one of below area: Demand Planning, S&OP, Supply Planning, Detailed Planning & Scheduling
- Knowledge of MS AzureDevOps
- Strong collaboration skills with diverse team members
- Experience in agile way of working or agile implementation approach
- Openness to new trends and innovative solutions
- Ability to work in a multicultural team spread across the global
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with diverse technologies - e.g.: RPA / automation, Power Platform, Machine leaning / artificial intelligence, etc
- Automated Testing
- ERP S/4 knowledge in the area of manufacturing
- Programming Language:
- SAP ABAP
- SAP ABAP Unit Testing
- Pair Programming
