WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

The unit "Digitalization of Site Logistics Management & Operations" supports BASF's divisions in responding to logistical challenges and issues with digital solutions. You will belong to an international and multidisciplinary agile DevOps team in charge of transforming the operations of BASF sites by applying consulting and latest technologies, including mobile applications, IoT devices, cloud computing, among others.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and development of SAP applications using ABAP
• Design and development of SAP Fiori and/or SAPUI5 applications including backend integration
• Development and customization of technical specification
• Translates functional requirements into technical specifications
• Customization of standard SAP in ERP, TM or eWM
• Performing of quality assurance via unit and functional testing
• Supports user acceptance testing
• Active participation in designing a global yard logistics solution for BASF
• Drive for sustainable and innovative solutions
• Leverages the use of standard functionalities to reduce non-standard developments
• Provides coaching to other team members on how to best use the yard management functionalities.
• Plays key role as technical expert in yard management and Subject Matter Expert for SAP Cloud and Gateway Applications

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in working as SAP technical consultant or similar role
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in ABAP development
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in SAP Fiori and/or SAPUI5 design/development
• An entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to foster a positive and energized culture
• Excellent judgement. Able to weigh several and often conflicting constraints and make rapid, logical decisions in a fast-moving company.
• A growth mindset with a curiosity to learn and improve.
• Team player with strong interpersonal, written and verbal skills
• Advanced English skills
• Ability to work in a multicultural team spread across the globe

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with at least one of the following topics: CDS Views, SAP S/4HANA output management, Git via gCTS, Odata V4 support, RAP (ABAP Restful Programming Model), Fiori Launchpad (Spaces, Pages, Notifications)
• Experience with test automation
• Experience in working in global / virtual teams / projects
• Knowledge of application lifecycle, change/release management process
• Experience in running IT solutions as products
• Experience working in Agile environments within frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or extreme programming.
• Experience with MS Azure DevOps
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure on non-routine and highly complex tasks.
