JOIN THE TEAM
We are currently seeking a talented Junior DevOps Engineer (Testing Engineering) to join our highly dynamic and collaborative team at BASF's Agricultural Solutions department Digital Factory. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative solutions and processes. Additionally, you will conduct research, perform analysis, and provide technical expertise to support the successful completion of engineering tasks
As part of the global IT Solutions and Data Delivery team, you will contribute to creating and continuously improving our digital solution for the division. Your role as a DevOps engineer specializing in testing is crucial in delivering an internal testing platform and Center of Excellence (CoE) that supports BASF AP's digital products on a global scale.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will design and develop programs that will test the accuracy and reliability of internally developed software solutions during its initial development and on an ongoing basis, especially in advance of major updates/deployments
- You will collaborate closely with Digital Product Delivery teams to define comprehensive test cases and ensure the testing approach is comprehensive and accurate.
- You will provide feedback to the Digital Product Delivery teams and provide recommendations for corrective approaches for any issues identified during the testing process
- With your strong understanding of QA methodologies and ability to develop effective test strategies, you will support our digital product teams.
- Your expertise in bug prevention, bug identification, and early feedback, as well as your experience in test design, performance testing, test architecture, and configuration management, will greatly enrich our team.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to produce formal test documentation are also essential for this role
- Staying updated with new technologies and best practices enables you to bring innovative solutions to the table.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Computer Science
- Work experience within Digital teams and jobs
- Experience in Internal or external Stakeholder Management
- Experience in agriculture is an advantage
- Test cases and User acceptance tests
- Communication and Collaboration skills
- Analythical thinking and problem-solving
- Programming languages
- Quality assurance and testing skills
- Agile principles, values, and practices
- IT infrastructure/system landscape
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to them
- Advanced English
- Wider basic skills in: Project management software (e.g., Azure DevOps), Test Automation in UI/API test development, Java or Java Script and Common frameworks (such as Tosca, MaGiz, Jmeter, Test IO, Selenium, etc.)
- Analysis techniques
- Systematic search for errors
- Agile methodologies
NICE TO HAVE
- ISTQB Certifications
- Excellent issue isolation, troubleshooting, and debugging skills Internal
- Knowledge of DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps for development, release, and monitoring
- Experience working in an agile scrum based team
- Experience learning independently and coaching others
