RESPONSIBILITIES

In a rapidly evolving technological landscape, the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping industries, including the chemical sector. As organizations strive to harness the transformative potential of AI, the demand for specialized roles that can bridge technology and business becomes critical. The global OEM Coatings Technology unit creates a new AI Project & Transformation Manager position which is designed to spearhead this initiative, ensuring that AI projects are not only effectively coordinated and executed but also aligned with the overarching goals of the organization.

• In this role, you are responsible for coordinating, piloting and managing AI projects within the company as well as with external partners. In this context, you additionally lead transformation activities within our global technology community.
• With your extensive knowledge of data architecture, coating domain expertise and business needs, you keep up to date with AI trends and suggest improvements to existing systems and workflows, identify opportunities for AI solutions and support proof of concept to verify the feasibility.
• Furthermore, you define project objectives, scope and success criteria for AI initiatives in collaboration with technical and business stakeholders and develop project plans and timelines as well as risk assessment and mitigation
• In addition, you are responsible for coordinating internal and external technical teams to ensure the successful implementation, test, deployment and maintenance of AI solutions as well as integration to surrounding digital platforms.
• You assess organizational readiness and identify potential barriers to change as well as develop and execute transformation strategies to drive adoption of new AI systems and processes.
• Last but not least, you are responsible for the design and delivery of training programs to enable employees to effectively use AI tools and technologies

QUALIFICATIONS

• formal qualification in coatings technology with several years of work experience
• foundational understanding of data management
• solid knowledge in Computer Science, AI frameworks and major AI technologies
• well experienced in project and transformation management as well as in coordinating global digitalization initiatives
• excellent communication at all levels, collaboration and problem-solving skills, enabling them to effectively engage with diverse teams and stakeholders across regions
