With our team "Digital Stores / Webshops" - embedded in the product family "Digital Commerce", we deliver various eCommerce solutions worldwide and are therefore THE digital face to the customers of BASF. We inspire and advise our business units with our many years of experience in commerce in both business and technical matters.

In this role, you will be a part of an agile DevOps team, you will independently drive the further development of the BASF Webshops into a central platform based on microservices and different frontend channels.

Responsibilities and Key Outcomes

• You will be responsible for reviewing UI / UX designs, taking technical decisions and taking care of their technical implementation in a suitable state-of-the-art technology stack which you need to choose / introduce.
• Developing according to modern coding, security and tool standards and implementing front-end architecture.
• Monitoring and improving frontend performance.
• You will always have an eye on technical innovations and evaluate them in terms of their usefulness for the platform.
• The team uses agile methodology, and you will work with methods like Scrum and pair-programming in a global team
• Within the team, as a multiplier, you will use your expertise to support a continuous exchange of knowledge and thus the further development of the team and ensure efficient cooperation with external service providers.

Job Requirements

Education and work experience

• Bachelor/Diploma in (business) informatics or completed IT training
• Minimum 3 years of recent hands-on development experience in Angular(v.11+) is a must.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in creating responsive designs is a must

Technical & Professional Knowledge (mandatory)

• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, NgRx, RxJS, CSS, HTML and REST API (JSON) required.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks including Jest.
• Basic experience with regards to oAuth2 and npm.
• Agile mindset, proactive entrepreneurial action, good self-organized work organization and teamwork in an agile environment, complemented by a strong innovation and customer orientation.

Technical & Professional Knowledge (additional plus/nice to have skills)

• Knowledge of testing frameworks including Playwright.
• Experience in implementing and running frontends in cloud environments (AWS/Azure preferred) using CI/CD pipelines, IaC (Infrastructure as Code) and CDN technologies.
• Ideally knowledge about SEO and server-side rendering.
• Ideally experience with Nx (monorepo).
