Responsibilities and Key Outcomes
- Develop and maintain applications as part of an agile DevOps team, focusing on stability and continuity for larger user groups in a chemical research and development environment. The apps will allow users to easily manage and analyze their data and access models or algorithms.
- Work in an agile and self-organized DevOps team, collaborating on project implementation across different competencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement projects and ensure seamless integration of new technologies.
- Balance the development of new applications with the operations and maintenance of existing solutions.
- Drive the future development and innovation of the team’s technology stack, considering user requirements and adhering to modern coding, security, and tool standards.
- Be comfortable with both front-end and back-end tasks, including designing user interfaces, optimizing database queries, implementing authentication mechanisms, and ensuring application security.
Job Requirements
Education and work experience
- A degree or comparable education in the field of computer, information, or natural science, with more than 2 years of professional experience in an IT environment.
Technical & Professional Knowledge (mandatory)
- Expertise in front-end technologies, including Vue3, Nuxt3, TypeScript, JavaScript, and NGRX. In-depth knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, and REST API (JSON) is required.
- Proficiency in Python3 and frameworks like FastAPI or Django; experience with databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB; and microservices and cloud-native application development.
Technical & Professional Knowledge (additional plus/nice to have skills)
- Basic experience with oAuth2, npm, Docker, Kubernetes or CI/CD automation.
- Familiarity with clean code standards, data processing libraries like Pandas, and tools such as PyBrain, MS Azure, and Python packaging.
- Experience with visualization libraries such as Echarts is beneficial.
