Objectives of the Position:
- Focus on maintaining and developing BASF Chemical Catalysts business in Indonesia.
- Sales activities to achieve business targets.
- Collect and analyze market information; develop key account strategies.
- Build relationships with engineering companies, associations, and producers.
- Maintain good relationships with key customers; solve supply and other problems.
- Coordinate with other functions for customer support.
- Support technology managers and contribute to product innovation.
Main Tasks:
Networking & Relationship Building
- Strong networking skills to develop new contacts and deepen relationships with existing customers and industry stakeholders.
- Active participation in industry events, seminars, and associations relevant to chemical catalysts in Indonesia.
Farming Existing Business
- Proactively identify growth opportunities within existing accounts, ensuring high customer retention and satisfaction.
- Regularly review customer portfolios to upsell and cross-sell BASF solutions.
- Create barriers for competitive entries in existing accounts and maintain high margins at existing customers.
Hunting for New Business
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in white spaces and by capturing competitive share.
- Conduct market mapping to uncover untapped segments and potential customers.
- Develop and execute strategies to win business from competitors.
- Develop and enhance good relationships with engineering companies, association and influential producers to promote BASF brand and products; build up partnerships to increase efficiency of sales and marketing efforts
Indonesia Market Focus
- In-depth understanding of the Indonesian chemical catalyst market, including regulatory, cultural, and business practices.
- Experience working in Indonesia or Southeast Asia along with knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is highly preferred.

Other Requirements
- Plan and carry out sales activities to achieve business target, including managing and improving profitability under his/her responsibility
- Collect market information, analyze market demand and trend, implement sales and marketing strategies; develop key account strategies, plans and actions items
- Coordinate with other functions to ensure providing support and solutions to customers to achieve product performance and customer satisfaction.
- Support Technology Managers and contribute to product innovation, preparation and negotiation of technical proposals
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
- Working Experience: minimum 8 years in catalyst related industry
- Technical & Professional Knowledge: Chemical process and catalysts (preferred)
- Language efficiency: Fluent and effective communication (speaking and writing) in English and Bahasa Indonesia
