Main responsibilities

  • Ensure all EHS are compliance with Thai law.
  • Conduct Workplace and environment Monitoring
  • Lead and act as secretary of Safety committee and conduct meetings by monthly basis.
  • Regularly arrange safety team inspection to identify and eliminate unsafe work practices/condition.
  • Act as Hazardous substance officer.
  • Take role as IPO and are responsible for all issues related to information protection.
  • Ensure Waste Management is met BASF requirement and Thai law.
  • Develop Fire protection plan and procedure and ensure all equipment are well maintained.
  • Report all EHS as per legal requirement.
  • Comply with Process safety management as required by law required.
  • Ensure ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 and other specific EHS systems internal, external and customer etc. are well maintained.
  • Conduct risk assessment and submit to IEAT and Department of Industrial Work (DIW) as per required.
  • Review JSA and ensure employees and contractors follow safety rules and requirements during work.
  • To improve site contractor Management and make sure the BASF requirements are considered.
  • Develop EHS training Matrix and plan and make sure the BASF requirements and legal requirements are considered. Provide EHS training to employees and contractors regularly.
  • Promote Safety Champions report and site EHS promotion activities such as 5 minutes safety talk, GSD etc.
  • Support and coordinate Site EHS and country EHS for EHS/Responsible Care implementation
  • Performs day-to-day consolidated functional EHS tasks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Safety, Health, and Environment or certified Safety Officer per Thai regulations.
  • A minimum of 2–5 years of experience in the EHS field and/or production or engineering is required. Leadership experience would be an advantage.
  • Strong communication and management skills, along with familiarity with the local legislative system and legal EHS requirements. A solid understanding of the roles and responsibilities of EHS units is essential.
  • Proficient in both Thai and English.
