About The Role
As the HR Business Partner, you will be a trusted advisor to senior leaders across BASF Agricultural Solutions (AP), shaping people strategies that drive business performance, engagement, and sustainable growth across Australia and New Zealand. This is a high‑impact role combining strategic influence with hands‑on delivery, where your judgement, insight, and partnership will directly support leaders through change, complexity, and growth.
In this role, you will lead end‑to‑end HR partnering across the employee lifecycle, from talent and succession planning to organisational design, change management, and employee relations. Working closely with regional HR teams and global stakeholders, you will translate business priorities into practical, fit‑for‑purpose people solutions while helping embed BASF’s values, culture, and inclusive ways of working.
How You Will Do It
- Partner closely with the ANZ leadership team as a trusted advisor, shaping people strategies that support business performance, change, and growth.
- Lead end‑to‑end HR partnering across talent, succession, organisational design, and employee relations, providing pragmatic advice aligned to ANZ legislation.
- Support leaders through transformation and workforce change, applying structured change management approaches to embed new ways of working.
- Collaborate with regional HR teams to deliver key people processes, including performance, reward, talent attraction, and leadership development.
- Drive continuous improvement and inclusion initiatives, while remaining hands‑on with HR systems and day‑to‑day people activities where required.
What We Look For
To be successful in this role, you will bring strong experience as an HR Business Partner within a complex, corporate environment and be comfortable operating in a hybrid role that balances strategic business partnering with hands‑on HR delivery. You enjoy working closely with senior leaders on people strategy while also rolling up your sleeves to execute core HR activities and manage day‑to‑day people matters across Australia and New Zealand.
You will:
- Possess a Bachelor of Business or similar tertiary qualification relevant to Human Resources.
- Have solid experience in HR business partnering, or a similar role, ideally within a matrixed or regional organisation.
- Be confident operating across both strategic advisory and operational execution, from workforce planning and change initiatives to drafting correspondence and managing HR system updates.
- Demonstrate strong working knowledge of Australian and New Zealand employment legislation, with experience handling ER/IR and change‑related matters.
- Be a trusted advisor with strong stakeholder management skills, able to influence leaders while remaining pragmatic and delivery‑focused.
- Bring experience supporting organisational change, transformation, or restructuring initiatives in fast‑moving environments.
- Be highly organised and outcomes‑driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and switch effectively between strategic and hands‑on tasks.
- Possess strong communication and presentation skills, with solid Microsoft Office capability (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
