Objectives of the Position:

  1. Responsible for ensuring transport management for inbound or outbound (as assigned) are as per stipulated guidelines, procedures and requirements
  2. Support process improvement, knowledge and risk management as per overseas delivery services

Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities:

Outbound

  • Processing transports for packaged deliveries with a focus on sea freight to our customers in compliance with the required customer deadlines at cost-optimal conditions
  • Managing the loading planning & consolidation/deconsolidation activities at the associated companies and external locations or sites, including monitoring of loading times.
  • Legal, internal, safety-relevant and packaging-related regulations must be considered, and customer-specific service levels and other quality requirements must be met
  • Monitoring of all necessary or relevant shipment milestones and ensuring prompt follow ups, updates and correspondences to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and assessing the quality of our service providers, transport reliability and feedback rates and tracking shipments & vessels
  • Preparation of all necessary transport documents, control of the proper filing of documents, in particular freight accounting bases, and examination of additional costs incurred

Inbound

  • Processing transport for packaged deliveries with a focus on sea freight to our sites within EMEA
  • Managing the loading planning & consolidation/deconsolidation activities at the associated companies and external locations or sites, including monitoring of loading times.
  • Legal, internal, safety-relevant and packaging-related regulations must be considered, and site-specific service levels and other quality requirements must be met
  • Monitoring of all necessary or relevant shipment milestones and ensuring prompt follow ups, updates and correspondences to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and assessing the quality of our service providers, transport reliability and feedback rates, and tracking shipments & vessels
  • Preparation and monitoring of all necessary transport documents (e.g verifying draft documents), control of the proper filing of documents, in particular freight accounting bases, and examination of additional costs incurred

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Fresh graduates from programs such as Transport Management, IT, Business Studies, or other relevant fields who are interested in exploring a career in supply chain.

Working Experience:

  • 1-2 years in logistics
  • Career starters or first professional experience in transport management

Technical & Professional Knowledge:

  • Experience in supply chain operations, distribution and warehousing processes
  • Knowledge of the processes of filling and shipping units
  • Experience in handling of MS Office products and, ideally, SAP R/3 quality management and transport management
  • Structured, independent and process-oriented working width
  • High degree of customer orientation
  • High proficiency in spoken and written English
