SAP HCM Core Knowledge – PA & OM

  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP HCM Personnel Administration (PA) and Organizational Management (OM)

  • In-depth understanding of personnel master data structures, infotypes, subtypes, and validity concepts

  • Knowledge of organizational objects, relationships, plan versions, and evaluation paths

Personnel Administration – Technical Skills

  • Configuration and maintenance of PA infotypes and subtypes

  • Technical support of core PA processes (hire, transfer, organizational change, termination)

  • Analysis and resolution of PA-related data inconsistencies and error situations

  • Handling of time-dependent and historical HR master data

Organizational Management – Technical Skills

  • Technical maintenance of organizational structures (org units, positions, jobs)

  • Support of reporting lines and managerial hierarchies

  • Understanding of OM integration with PA and downstream HR processes

SAP HCM Development Skills

  • ABAP development in SAP HCM context (reports, enhancements, interfaces)

  • Development and enhancement of HR reports using logical databases (PNP/PNPCE)

  • Implementation and analysis of AUTHORITY-CHECKS in HR applications

  • Experience with HCM-specific user exits, BAdIs, and enhancement frameworks

  • Debugging and analysis of standard SAP HCM programs

  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Forms / Smart Forms for HR outputs (optional)

  • Understanding of data models for PA and OM from a developer perspective

Integration & Dependencies

  • Understanding of PA and OM integration with Time Management and Payroll

  • Awareness of authorization concepts impacting PA and OM data access

  • Support of interfaces and data consistency across HR systems

Customizing & Configuration

  • HCM Customizing in PA- and OM-related settings

  • Assessment of customizing impacts on data quality and technical behavior

  • Close collaboration with functional consultants and developers for change implementation

Technical Analysis & Support

  • Incident and problem analysis in PA and OM areas

  • Use of debugging and analysis tools to identify root causes

  • Support of testing activities (unit tests, UAT, regression testing)

Operational & Soft Skills

  • Structured, analytical, and detail-oriented working style

  • Clear communication with HR process owners and IT stakeholders

  • Documentation of developments, configurations, and technical designs
