Objectives of the Position
- Lead and oversee the team in delivering customs services, including customs verification and documentation review, ensuring alignment with service expectations.
- Foster strong relationships with internal business partners by understanding their requirements and delivering high-quality, collaborative, and responsive support.
- Coordinate effectively with external service providers to ensure seamless operations and alignment with service standards through proactive engagement and collaboration.
- Manage quality assurance related to overseas delivery services, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.
- Oversee risk management activities for the team, including access control, data protection, business continuity planning, and regular risk assessments.
- Drive knowledge management initiatives by maintaining up-to-date documentation, facilitating structured reviews, and assigning clear process ownership to ensure knowledge retention.
- Monitor team performance, provide regular coaching and guidance, and support professional development to achieve operational excellence.
Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities
1. Customs Services
- Define goals and target for the team to support business as usual
- Stay updated on changes to country-specific regulations and requirements to ensure compliance with all services.
- Collaborate with Functional Expert team to promote automation and process enhancement
- Ensure all import/export activities comply with local customs laws and international trade agreements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regional customs regulations and free trade agreements (FTAs).

2. Project Management
- Lead/ Support and coordinate customs-related projects such as system implementations, process improvements, and regulatory change initiatives.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure timely completion of milestones.
- Report on project outcomes and recommend continuous improvement strategies.
3. Risk Management & Enforcement
- Identify and mitigate risks related to miscalculations, undervaluation, or non-compliance.
- Support internal audits and investigations related to customs activities.
- Implement corrective, preventive actions and process improvements as needed.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the point of contact to support customs authorities’ inquiries.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on customs procedures and regulatory updates.
- Collaborate with cross functional team, business unit, supply chain, legal entity, and order management teams to ensure end-to-end compliance.
5. Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare regular reports on customs performance (quantitative & qualitative) and compliance metrics
- Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in international Trade, Customs Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in customs operations or trade compliance and customs performance management
- Proven experience in managing cross-functional projects or process improvement initiatives.
- Good understanding of Preferential Rules of Origin, COO processes, and FTA frameworks.
- Familiarity with HS classification, customs valuation, and import/export documentation.
- Excellent project management, analytical, and communication skills.
- Must be able to work in EMEA timezone
