About the Role:The primary purpose of this role is to provide expert support in Book-to-Report (B2R) activities, driving process excellence, standardization, and automation while ensuring compliance with global accounting and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop a deep end-to-end (E2E) understanding of B2R processes by combining process, technical, and business expertise to effectively support the Service Delivery Units.

• Support the transition of new service scopes into Service Delivery Units, ensuring adherence to global standard operating procedures, tools, and effective change management practices.

• Design, steer, and continuously enhance global processes within General Ledger Accounting & External Reporting ensuring end-to-end consistency and alignment with BASF’s enterprise architecture.

• Own and manage the global service portfolio for the respective B2R area, including KPIs, controls, compliance requirements, and service definitions, to ensure operational excellence and standardization

• Drive systems and project management initiatives, including process optimization and modernization of IT systems. Maintain and control sensitive SAP tables and related systems, and ensure proper documentation of technical solutions.

• Embed and scale automation, RPA, and AI-driven solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce manual workload, and improve process effectiveness.

• Ensure process readiness and seamless integration for major transformation programs and system transitions (e.g., SAP S/4HANA).

• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across B2R Service Delivery teams, controlling communities, and Corporate Center functions to ensure alignment of process and technology enhancements with business needs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA or equivalent) is strongly preferred.g).

Working Experince:

More than 5 years’ experience working in Finance, with at least 2 years in General Ledger Accounting & External Reporting
• Project management for finance processes

Technical Skills:

• Strong expertise in SAP FI (R/3 and/or S/4HANA), with in-depth understanding of core financial processes.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS accounting standards (mandatory).
• Proven experience and deep functional knowledge General Ledger Accounting & External Reporting
• • Experience in global shared services environments, including transitions, migrations, or process consolidations
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to drive decisions and operate with a high degree of autonomy.
• Knowledge and experience of MS office tools.

• Strong lateral leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and regions.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality and reliable outputs.
