Role Purpose
This role manages the overall strategy and execution of the online channel to drive profitable growth and strengthen customer relationships, aligned with shopper marketing, brand strategies, and sales objectives. It works closely with shopper and customer marketing, sales, and digital teams to ensure brand communications and online presence are optimized.
Key Accountabilities
Derive Business Strategy and Objective
- Develop and execute a sales and marketing plan for Malaysia and Singapore to support short- and long-term growth, including:
- E-Commerce proposition creation including key player product & proposition analyst, proposition creation for each online channel or e-retailer in advance
- Promotional plan to boost sales to achieve sales target (co-ordinate with offline sales channel to avoid channel conflict)
- Increase brand awareness in market via online marketplace promotions and social media
- Co-ordinate with e-agent to recheck inventory and sales report & analyst for each online channel to ensure good proposition of inventory
- Web front ended management for all online channel as plan
- Create media planning & execution of communication plan to ensure cost of marketing aligns in good proportion with revenue
- To prepare and manage the contents of E-commerce and website to ensure customers receive full knowledge and information about our products
Customer-Orientated
- Develop and maintain strategic business relationships with customers
- Negotiate sales with key existing and new customers
- Provide ongoing support to high-value clients, ensuring high-quality service
- Identify customer needs and opportunities by analyzing sales gaps and developing strategies to close them
- Understand e-platform sales operations, including SOPs, timelines, and execution mechanics
- Possess detailed e-commerce expertise and thorough knowledge of the overall FMCG business
Online Operations
- Manage and maintain product content, including pack shots, descriptions, and infographics, while identifying opportunities for improvement
- Oversee shop-in-shop store banner uploads, ensuring execution excellence
- Plan online campaigns and self-initiated activities proactively to achieve sales targets
- To lead and ensure all NPL are Listed on a timely basis
- To ensure that we meet the Company’s Account Receivable objective by maintaining a healthy aging level
Leadership
- To manage the business to adhere the company's business strategy and work closely with internal & external stakeholders
- To manage 9 direct reports (ie: sales / SCM / performance marketing)
- To handle the complexities of 6 BPU (SGMY with 3 BPUs respectively)
Enhance Sales Activities to Ensure Cost and Process Efficiency
- To manage trade budget, A&P, trading term discussion within the budget allocated
- To ensure the trade return rate is within the Company’s objectives and with good market hygiene in the trade (FIFO practices)
- To maximize ROI by evaluating incremental of sales and trade investment of each position monthly basis
Obtain and Alert with Competitive Knowledge on Market Trend, Movement and Practise
- To keep abreast with the latest market trends and development, with sound knowledge of competitors' activities
