Main Responsibilty
The Head of MT Operations oversees the company’s end-to-end commercial operations across all modern trade partners in the PH regions. He/She is accountable for driving revenue, improving in-store execution in the regional stores, optimizing trade investments, strengthening customer partnership in the regions and ensuring operational excellence across key regional stores. The role manages MT KA in the regions, Regional KA, Field operations and cross-functional alignment to deliver profitable & sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Channel Growth
- Develop & execute the national Modern Trade strategy covering key reatailers and channels in the region
- Identify growth drivers, category opportunities and emerging MT trends to build and strengthen market competitiveness.
- Ensures customer strategies align with national channel priorities, brand plans, category & channel objectives.
Regional in-store execution
- Ensures best-in-class in-store execution in partnership with merchandising agencies & sales frontliners in the regions.
- Direct modern trade activation plans including promotions, planogram compliance, visibility programs and new product introduction and relaunch campaigns.
- Tracks in-store KPIs at regional level: T10 penetration, OSA and competitor presence.
Supply Chain & Operations Excellence
- Works closely with Supply Chain & Operations teams and Distributors to ensure accurate forecasting, order fill rates and OOS management.
- Resolves operational issues related to replenishments, logistics & inventories in the region
- Drive improvements in MT service levels, OSA and delivery performance
Leadership (manage, oversee, guidance, coaching & motivation)
- Leads & develop Regional Sales Managers deployed in the region.
- Build capability in negotiations, data analytics, customer & category management
- Foster a culture of accountability, performance & collaboration
- Able to manage, coach, guide and motivates Regional Sales Mangers and merchandising front liners in the region on the technical aspects of the organisation’s products and service; on marketing campaigns and sales promotions, procedures and standards that will help them achieve their sales targets and in-store 4Ps execution.
- Monitor business to adhere company sales strategy and integrity compliance.
- Manage day to day activity of sales force to implement organization’s overall sales strategy for assigned region
- Providing Leadership through effective communication of vision, active coaching and development while comparing sales results to goals and taking appropriate action to close any gaps
- Monitor region performance and reallocate resources to improve overall results.
- Lead and direct the area sales team in all aspects of sales and distribution activities and in-store 4Ps execution
- Provide supervision through field visits, observations and measurement of results to include performance appraisals and salary reviews.
- Maintain competitive knowledge to create and adjust sales strategies.
