The Technical Risk and Readiness Senior Manager plays a proactive and critical leadership role in safeguarding Beiersdorf’s technical, regulatory, and operational standards during the final phases of major pharmaceutical and personal care manufacturing projects. This position is accountable for ensuring full technical integrity and regulatory compliance, with a particular focus on Food and Drug Administration (FDA) expectations and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements, as new or modified systems transition from engineering into validated, commercial operation.

- Strategic Technical Risk Management
- Own and maintain the project’s strategic Technical Risk Register for major capital investments at the Silao site.
- Identify and assess risks related to regulatory compliance (including FDA and GMP), technical readiness, documentation, and critical utilities supporting pharmaceutical and personal care production.
- Define, prioritize, and drive implementation of mitigation strategies in collaboration with technical and functional leaders.
- Readiness for Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation
- Ensure that all technical preconditions are met for system commissioning, installation testing, and operational testing, in line with Beiersdorf standards and pharmaceutical industry expectations.
- Oversee the verification of cleanliness, accessibility, hygienic and clean design, and technical quality of systems prior to qualification activities.
- Cross-Functional Technical Integration
- Governance of Technical Change Control
- Lead the technical evaluation of changes prior to formal approval by Quality Assurance, ensuring alignment with Beiersdorf’s quality and
- Monitor the implementation of approved changes, ensuring that all related documentation, system records, and handover packages are updated, reconciled, and formally closed.
- Technical Scheduling and Execution Oversight
- Own the technical project schedule for engineering, readiness, and qualification activities and align it with the overall project master plan.
- Lead regular schedule reviews to identify emerging delays or early constraints and define corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with Project Management Office to ensure zero disruptions the supply chain
- Track system readiness, interdependencies, and punch list progress, ensuring that technical activities remain aligned with regulatory timelines and business priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required).
- Master’s degree in Project Management, Engineering Management, or Business Administration (preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, or capital project management in a regulated environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical, personal care, or related industries.
- Demonstrated experience leading major capital investment projects from design through commissioning, qualification, and validation.
- Strong expertise in project management methodologies, risk management, and capital expenditure governance.
- Proven track record in managing technical and regulatory risk, with the ability to balance compliance, cost, and schedule.
- Experience leading a Project Management Office or similar project governance structure is an advantage.
- Solid leadership capabilities, with experience managing and influencing multidisciplinary teams (both direct reports and cross-functional stakeholders along the supply chain business).
- Background in fast-moving consumer goods or high-volume, regulated manufacturing environments (pharmaceutical, cosmetics, or personal care) is strongly preferred.
- Fluent in English and Spanish, with the ability to interact effectively with regional and global stakeholders.
- Full on-site presence in Silao is required; occasional domestic and international travel is expected.
- P&G or Kellanova background preferred, with solid and in-depth experience navigating GSUM/KSUM or start-up methodologies.
