Your Tasks

Leading Korea Innovation Scouting Team (30%)

  • Lead the team in developing a structured framework for scouting and evaluating new trends, technologies, and solutions in the Korean cosmetics industry, while identifying high-potential innovation opportunities and building a network of external partners, including ODMs, suppliers, vendors and other relevant organizations.
  • Guide the exploration of technological innovations from Korea to inspire the strategic direction of the company’s brands, ensuring alignment with consumer needs and market dynamics through tech-watch activities, analyzing launched products, emerging ingredients, claims, patents, and scientific research to inform innovation strategies.
  • Ensure that the team identifies and delivers insights in a timely and effective manner.

Cross-Functional Collaboration (20%)

  • Collaborate with Global and Regional R&D and Marketing teams, as well as ICs to integrate insights from Korea into broader business strategies.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and key decision-makers to ensure alignment and support for innovation initiatives.

Presentation and Communication (10%)

  • Present findings and insights in a clear and compelling manner to internal stakeholders and senior leadership, ensuring that strategic recommendations are well understood and actionable.
  • Develop and deliver presentations that effectively communicate the value of identified innovations and market opportunities.

Team Leadership and Development (20%)

  • Lead and mentor a team of innovation scouts, fostering a culture of openness, trust, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Encourage professional development and knowledge sharing within the team to enhance overall performance and innovation capabilities.

Early Innovation Exploration & X-Brand Programs (20%)

  • Define consumer needs and long-term aspirations by exploring promising innovation opportunities and integrating consumer insights, emerging market trends and developments to drive breakthrough innovation in close collaboration with cross-functional and international teams.

  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present insights and recommendations clearly and persuasively to senior stakeholders
  • Strategic thinking ability to align innovation initiatives with business objectives and long-term brand strategy, while identifying high-potential opportunities
  • Strong project management skills to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, ensuring timely execution and alignment with strategic priorities
  • High adaptability and agility in responding to evolving market conditions and consumer trends
  • Fluent in English

Work Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or above (Master’s or MBA preferred)
  • Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience with a strong understanding of market dynamics, consumer behavior, and innovation processes
  • Experience in market research and the broader innovation ecosystem; cosmetics industry experience is a plus
