Your Tasks

We are looking for a Working Student to support our Software Asset Management (SAM) team with activities related to the Software Catalogue and Software Product Management.

In this role, you will gain hands‑on experience in enterprise IT processes, software lifecycle management, and ServiceNow SAM. You will work closely with experienced colleagues and be gradually introduced to tools, processes, and governance topics in a structured and supportive environment. This position is ideal for students interested in the intersection of IT, business processes, and technology platforms.

  • Support the software request‑to‑deployment process, including data preparation, documentation, follow‑ups, software hand‑over activities, and basic error analysis (e.g. reviewing installation and deployment issues reported by end users or IT support teams)
  • Coordinate with internal IT teams, colleagues, and external partners to support smooth software deployment and daily operations
  • Maintain, review, and update Software Catalogue items in the ServiceNow SAM platform, ensuring data accuracy and completeness
  • Support the publication of approved software in the Service Catalog for end‑user requests in close collaboration with the Software Asset Management team
  • Assist the Software Catalogue Manager by preparing process KPIs and basic SLA reports and identifying data gaps or inconsistencies in catalogue and request data
  • Contribute to quality assurance activities, including checking catalogue entries and validating related documentation
  • Support ongoing initiatives and projects related to secure and compliant software provisioning, as well as process improvements, workflows, technical concepts, and automation ideas

Your Profile

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in: Information Systems,Business Informatics,Computer Science or a comparable IT-related field
  • Interest in IT service processes, software management, and enterprise platforms
  • Structured and reliable working style with attention to detail
  • Analytical mindset and willingness to learn process- and data-driven work
  • Interested in Technical IT
  • Basic understanding of IT systems and business processes
  • Very good English skills (spoken and written)
  • First exposure to tools like ServiceNow, SAM, ITSM, Intune or databases is a plus – but not required
