At DK, we sit at the intersection of beautiful publishing and strategic intelligence, and we are looking for a BI Analyst to help take our reporting and analytics to the next level.
The BI Analyst will join our small, collaborative team, supporting the Head of Commercial Insights. This role will bridge the gap between our evolving data architecture and high-level business decisions.
This isn't just about reports and dashboards; it’s about business partnering. You will act as a strategic ally to our creative stakeholders, providing the actionable insights that give DK a competitive edge in a vibrant, fast-paced environment. Your work will help DK seize market opportunities, maximise revenue, and optimise profitability by ensuring our commercial intelligence is timely, accurate, and impactful.
The Impact You’ll Make
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our data evolution, delivering high-impact data visualisations, and presenting insights to business stakeholders. Your top priorities will include:

Develop strong commercial partnerships with teams across the business; conducting deep-dive commercial analyses on markets, consumers, and competitors to identify growth opportunities and empower our teams to make faster, smarter decisions, driving real business action.

Design and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards, transitioning from legacy manual reporting to a sophisticated, automated BI landscape that scales across our global operations, bringing KPIs, commercial trends, and market performance to life.

Take ownership of data stewardship, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and accessibility through effective data management, clear documentation, collaboration with the relevant teams

Who You Are
We are looking for someone with proven experience in a data analyst/data visualisation role who thrives in both technical and commercial contexts. You will have:

Mastery of the Power BI ecosystem, specifically complex DAX and data modeling concepts, with a proven ability to translate user needs into streamlined technical requirements.

Strong storytelling skills, turning complex datasets into clear, compelling narratives for non-technical audiences.

Strong commercial acumen; you have a natural curiosity for how a business operates and the ability to look beyond the 'what' of the data to explain the 'so what' and the 'what next' for our commercial strategy

Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring data remains a trusted source, and curiosity to explore new technologies and approaches.

Experience with SQL, R, or Python would be an advantage, experience navigating high-volume retail or e-commerce datasets is highly desirable, as would an interest in books, publishing, and creative processes.
