To set the marketing priorities and promotional direction for selective brands in poultry vaccines. To prepare and implement brand plans for strategic products and new launches. To establish strong networking with KOL to maximize products performance in respective therapeutic fields. To achieve targets for strategic products, grow market share and market penetration in selective therapeutic categories. To maintain and improve product knowledge of sales force and to continually update knowledge on the product, competitors and therapeutic area. To track and report in spend against budget for marketing campaigns.

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Capability Development - Develop learning modules for the field force on marketing and promotional plan, conduct learning sessions, guide and develop rapport with the field staff in order to obtain the desired development of market share and sales.
  • Design specific marketing campaigns to maximize product sales and increase market share. Writing articles and newsletters for veterinary journals and conferences.
  • Participate in training programs associated with the Customer Partnership Program & other skill enhancement programs organized from time to time.
  • Manage return on marketing expenditure - Periodically (Quarterly) plan and utilize Marketing budget by allocating resources for required products with the objective of maximizing return on marketing expenditure.
  • Manage sales targets - Design creative marketing and promotional campaigns and cascade it to the desired customer by providing appropriate training to the sales force in order to maximize impact of marketing activities and return on investment.
  • Promotional Plan - Prepare promotional and brand plan for allocated products by scanning external & internal environment and enable execution by planning, monitoring and reviewing product wise marketing initiatives.
  • Data Analysis - Create effective marketing program by identifying and analyzing requisite data, evaluating product needs, allocating resources and reviewing monthly sales forecasts in order to achieve the planned market share and sales and profit objectives.
  • Market intelligence - Coordinate with the sales team (AM / SM /NSM) & investigators to plan & review progress of post-marketing studies for the assigned products & therapeutic area.
  • New Product Introduction - Assist Business Head in the preparation of the Annual Business Plan by analyzing & recommending new products for launch, within the guidelines of BIAH, with the objective of achieving market share, sales & profits for the therapy area.
  • Customer Engagement - Organize market development programs with the help of field force and address latest trends in disease management in order to positively influence key customers.
  • Develop, sustain and leverage relationships with key opinion leaders in the Veterinary fraternity in order to create preference for BIAH products.
  • Brand wise number of development programs organized annually.
  • Feedback/ visibility.

Other regulatory and / or organizational requirements:

Act at all times within the local pharmaceutical standards/ethics

Report all adverse events to the local PV within the required timelines

Follow all company procedures and processes with respect to compliance, marketing guidelines, brand guidelines.


  • Veterinary Graduate / Post-graduate or Pharma / Science graduate with MBA preferred
  • Minimum 8-10 years of industry experience in animal health / pharma / agribusiness
  • 5 years of experience in product management
  • Business Acumen and entrepreneurial traits
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Creativity to design high quality campaigns and promotional material
  • Excellent oral and verbal communication skills
