Booking.com is looking for a Network Engineer with experience in Public Cloud Networking, internet architectures, backbone networking topics and network automation. You will be closely working with other members of the network and Booking.com IT teams around the globe to ensure continued success for Booking.com. You will be making an impact on a more reliable and stable network with better monitoring and automation. With a network footprint spanning the entire world, this role is ideal for those seeking a challenge in a passionately growing business and being part of its success.

What you’ll bring:

  • Detailed knowledge of networking in routing & switching, TCP/IP stack and protocols such as BGP, ISIS, IPv6, EVPN;
  • Proven hands-on experience with AWS Network resources (Transit Gateways, VPCs, Subnets, Route Tables, NAT Gateways, Internet Gateways, VPNs, Direct Connects, etc);
  • Experience in network automation using programming languages like python and terraform (3+ years);

Additional Criteria that will figure out network team aligns best with your technical expertise. Please note that it is not required to meet all the criteria.

  • Deployed network infrastructure as code, using configuration management tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible);
  • Experience with Internet architectures, peering at global exchange points, RPKI implementations;
  • Experience with the design, implementation, operation and automation of large data center networks;
  • Experience with network security concepts firewalling, DDOS;
  • Experience with monitoring network quality, availability and performance;
  • Experience configuring Juniper/Cisco/Arista devices (CLI, Ansible);
  • Experience with engineering, configuration, and operation of MPLS networks is a plus;
  • Experience with DWDM technology and devices is helpful.
