Job Description
Product Safety Engineer
The Product Safety Engineer supports the development and manufacturing of power tool products by ensuring compliance with corporate safety standards and risk reduction principles. This role collaborates cross-functionally with Engineering, Marketing, Quality, Manufacturing, and Purchasing teams to integrate product safety throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct product safety reviews during product development
Perform hazard assessments and risk mitigation analysis
Support product liability investigations
Review test reports and engineering changes for compliance
Develop and maintain safety standards, procedures, and documentation
Research industry, legal, and regulatory trends to improve product safety practices
Contribute to continuous improvement of Engineering Product Safety processes
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field (required)
Postgraduate degree or Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred)
Experience in product safety, liability analysis, or regulatory compliance
Strong knowledge of product design and risk management principles
Ability to communicate technical information effectively across teams
3-5+ years of experience in product safety, hazard assessment, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance within product development environments.
Additional Information
Full-time availability with flexibility to support cross-regional collaboration. Open to travel to the United States as required to support project and team objectives.
