Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer – AUTOSAR Classic to lead the development and integration of embedded software solutions within automotive systems. This role involves working across the full software lifecycle—from requirements analysis to system integration and validation—while collaborating with global teams, suppliers, and customers.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in AUTOSAR Classic architecture, strong C programming skills, and the ability to technically guide teams and drive complex problem resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze system and software requirements and translate them into robust AUTOSAR-based solutions.
- Design, configure, and integrate AUTOSAR Classic software components (SWCs, BSW, RTE).
- Lead software integration activities using embedded C in a multi-layered AUTOSAR environment.
- Perform root cause analysis, debugging, and resolution of complex software defects.
- Develop and execute test strategies, including unit, integration, and system-level testing.
- Review technical documents, code, and architecture to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (systems, hardware, validation) to ensure end-to-end system performance.
- Interface with customers and suppliers to clarify requirements, track issues, and drive closure.
- Support release activities, including build, validation, and defect triage.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 10 year experience
- Strong experience with AUTOSAR Classic architecture (BSW, MCAL, RTE, SWCs).
- Proficiency in embedded C programming and software integration.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (V-model) in automotive environments.
- Experience in requirement analysis, design, and test case development.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in embedded systems.
- Experience working with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN).
- Ability to work with global teams and manage technical discussions with stakeholders.
- Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AUTOSAR configuration and development tools such as DaVinci Developer/Configurator and EB tresos.
- Hands-on experience with Vector CANoe for network simulation, testing, and debugging.
- Experience using iSYSTEM winIDEA for debugging and target-level analysis.
- Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262) and/or ASPICE processes.
- Experience working with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing in embedded environments.
