Bosch first started in Vietnam with a representative office in 1994. Bosch has its main office in Ho Chi Minh City, with branch offices in Hanoi and Da Nang, and a Powertrain Solutions plant in the Dong Nai province to manufacture push belt for continuously variable transmissions (CVT) in automobiles. In addition, Bosch operates a software and engineering solutions from product engineering, tool development & automation as well as testing & validation solutions (Bosch Global Software Technologies Vietnam).
In July 2014, Bosch set up a new Automotive R&D Center, located in Ho Chi Minh City. The continuous growth of this Centre is in line with Bosch’s strategy in Vietnam, which aims at becoming a manufacturing and R&D hub in the Southeast Asian region. Currently four products are available: connectors, push belt, fuel supply, and diagnosis module (tank leakage).

Job Description
- Manage and develop requirements of product/component with internal, external customers & stakeholders.
- Derive technical solutions out of requirements using existing product/component portfolio & initiate development of new variants if needed.
- Coordinate/lead team to develop solution utilizes design tools and development methodologies such as LHPH, FMA, FMEA, DRBFM, 8D…
- Technical interface to Design, Simulation, Testing, Customer, Sales, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, Product Management & Controlling
- Represent engineering work towards steering committee as well as internal & external customers.
- Create, monitor& and fulfill development & validation plan according to project/topic timeline.
- Analyze the validation report and perform data analysis for product/component release.
- Maintain the state-of-the-art product design (drawing, test specification, order specification…) & product quality according to the functions & requirements of product.
- Support production, purchasing departments regarding engineering issues (e.g., Risk assessment, problem solving, engineering change request…)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or similar subjects
- Experience in the field of automotive components & systems is preferable.
- Experience with project/engineering change process in the automotive environment
- Knowledge of product development process and methods such us LHPH, FAM, DRBFM, FMEA, 8D…
- Independent, well-structured, & goal-oriented way of working.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, high resilience, willingness to take responsibility. - Ability and willingness to take risks (making decision with limited information)
- Good team management, drive team to common goals
- Effective communication & presentation skills
- Good spoken & written English skills, knowledge of Japanese language is appreciated.
- International/intercultural experience
