Location: New York City/Chicago/Atlanta

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced AWS Senior Cloud Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have specialized expertise in AWS Landing Zone, AWS Control Tower, and advanced cloud security principles. This role involves architecting, building, and supporting a secure, scalable, and efficiently managed AWS cloud environment from scratch. You will be responsible for strategic cloud planning, governance, implementation, optimization, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.


  • Develop and implement comprehensive cloud strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Establish governance frameworks to manage cloud resources and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
  • Design and deploy AWS Landing Zone to set up a secure, scalable multi-account AWS environment.
  • Utilize AWS Control Tower for automated account provisioning and governance.
  • Implement robust cloud security frameworks to protect data and resources.
  • Ensure adherence to industry security standards and best practices.
  • Architect and build scalable, efficient, and high-performing cloud solutions.
  • Continuously optimize cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, and reliability.
  • Design and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
  • Regularly test and update DR plans to address evolving business needs.
  • Drive innovation by adopting new cloud technologies and practices.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the cloud team.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional certification.
  • Additional certifications in Security Specialty are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience with AWS Landing Zone, Advanced Networking, AWS Control Tower, and Cloud Security Frameworks.
  • Extensive experience in cloud architecture with a focus on AWS.
  • Proficiency in designing multi-account AWS environments with a focus on security and governance.
  • Deep technical knowledge of AWS core services and infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Landing Zone and AWS Control Tower.
  • Expert understanding of cloud security principles, IAM, network security, and compliance standards.
  • Experience implementing cloud security measures in line with industry regulations.
  • Proven track record of leading cloud transformation projects.
  • Strong leadership capabilities to drive the adoption of cloud best practices.
  • Exceptional ability to analyze complex situations and design effective solutions.
  • Proficient in resolving technical issues and addressing business challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage with technical teams, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with all project members.
  • Commitment to ensuring successful project delivery.

Salary Transparency

Capgemini discloses salary range information in compliance with state and local pay transparency obligations. The disclosed range represents the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting, although we may ultimately pay more or less than the disclosed range, and the range may be modified in the future. The disclosed range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, geographic location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $96366 - $150000/year.

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
