  • The IT Product Manager is accountable for the strategic planning efforts within the assigned Organizational Unit. This position will support the Senior Product Manager to develop an end-to-end technology roadmap focused on delivering maximum business value for their OU partners. The individual will leverage their consultative skills to collaborate with OU business experts, understand business challenges, and recommend solutions from a people / process / technology perspective. As technology business needs are identified, this individual provides project management and coordination of the business initiative planning process (Solution Planning, Solution Analysis) while collaborating with the project team to ensure each initiative is delivering on the expected business value and outcome.
    The product manager is the main point of contact for new business demand requests.
    • Responsible for leading the investment planning phase of each initiative while collaborating with architecture and solution delivery during the execution phase.
    • Responsible for the Solution Planning and Solution Analysis phases of approved initiatives before transition to delivery for execution.
    • Partners with operations (SMOO & Grid Services) to ensure their non-functional requirements are identified and the solution is operationally sustainable without adding significant O&M burden / technical debt.
    • Partners with OU product owners to understand their business needs and translate them into technology capabilities.
    • Responsible for developing the business case for each new business demand to help the IT/OU leadership make educated decisions on the priority within the portfolio.
    • Works in partnership with the planning team, supporting the Senior Product Manager to ensure effective and quality product planning activities within the portfolio.
    • Works in partnership with OU stakeholders to define business benefits/outcomes and tracks the business value realization at the completion of each project.
    • Supports the development and periodic refresh of the strategic roadmap within the product line portfolio that’s focused on the invest, sustain, and ringfence plan for each product.
    • Provides recommendations to IT process owners / IT PMO on how to streamline processes and tailor them to the product line operating model.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate or equivalent.
• Certified Scrum Master
• Must have experience in an analytical position with proficiency using MS Office tools to develop reports, presentations, and complex analyses.
• Demonstrated experience in project management tools and methodology.
• Demonstrated ability to mine and compile data from various sources.
• Demonstrated experience scheduling, and organizing large amounts of data within multiple assignments, tasks, and projects, and adjusting to changing priorities.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating communication for analysis findings or issues or concerns to project team members, key stakeholders, senior management and/or executive level staff.
• Must work well on teams and demonstrate the ability to prioritize amid changing priorities.
• Ability to accurately analyze information and make sound business decisions.
• Must demonstrate effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.
• Must demonstrate strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.
Experience and Skills:
Business Demand Management & Planning: Serves as the main point of contact for new business demand requests. Develops the business case for each initiative that will help IT/OU leadership make educated decisions on the priority within the portfolio. Works with OU stakeholders to define business benefits/outcomes and tracks the business value realization at the completion of each project. Accountable for the Solution Planning and Solution Analysis phases of approved initiatives before transition to delivery for execution. Supports the development and periodic refresh of the strategic roadmap within the product line portfolio that’s focused on the invest, sustain, and ringfence plan for each product.
Business Value Tracking: Partners with the OU product owners to define and prioritize the product backlog to maximize business value. Supports the delivery team during the execution phases to ensure projects stay within budget, implement on schedule, and proposed business value is achieved. Participates in all related project and portfolio governance meetings as the liaison to the product owner and is engaged on all proposed change requests to ensure requirements are aligned with the prioritized product backlog.
Financial Management: Works with delivery team to ensure project stays within allocated project budget (both capital and O&M), change requests are reviewed and aligned with the prioritized product backlog, and project variances are explained.
Strategic Initiatives: Supports various strategic initiatives within the IT Enterprise Services organization, which includes Digital Transformation (i.e., agile development, DevOps). Provides recommendations to IT process owners / IT PMO on how to streamline processes and tailor them to the product line operating model.

As per the grade , Capgemini discloses salary range information in compliance with state and local pay transparency obligations. The disclosed range represents the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting, although we may ultimately pay more or less than the disclosed range, and the range may be modified in the future. The disclosed range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, geographic location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $97,000 - $200,00 / year. This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees. Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
