AWS SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)

As an AWS SDET, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software solutions deployed on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. Your role will involve designing, implementing, and executing automated tests, with a focus on AWS services such as DynamoDB and Lambda functions. You will also be expected to have end-to-end automation experience and proficiency in using tools like Cypress, JavaScript, and TypeScript. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in stressful situations with minimal guidance are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. AWS Experience: Demonstrated expertise in AWS services, with a preference for AWS certification(s) to validate your knowledge and skills.

  2. DynamoDB and Lambda Testing: Experience in testing DynamoDB databases and AWS Lambda functions, ensuring their functionality, performance, and scalability.

  3. End-to-End Automation: Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites for end-to-end testing of AWS-hosted applications and services.

  4. Cypress, JavaScript, and TypeScript: Proficiency in using Cypress for web application testing, along with strong programming skills in JavaScript and TypeScript.

  5. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. You should be able to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely.

  6. Problem Solving: Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues, including response errors and other potential roadblocks, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.

  7. Agile Practices: Knowledge of mature Agile processes and operations ceremonies, with a willingness to actively participate and contribute in Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
