Job Title: Software Engineer – Database Developer

Job location: Salt Lake City, UT (onsite)

Job description:

Capgemini is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer - Database Developer to join our outstanding Engineering team. As a Software Engineer - Database Developer, you will play an important role in maintaining and updating our databases, ensuring accurate data analysis and reporting. You will also collaborate with other team members to efficiently implement new queries, resolve any issues with automated jobs, and improve performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update both internal reporting and IB databases
  • Update lookup tables for new errors and error classification
  • Update cubes for data analysis queries
  • Build new queries for vital reports
  • Supervise and maintain daily automated jobs
  • Collaborate with other resources for issues and modifications
  • Perform pre-emptive maintenance and identify data clogs
  • Update stored procedures for excel reports


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in database schema design, development, and management
  • Deep knowledge of relational databases, MS SQL Server Integration Services, and SQL Scripts
  • Proficiency in developing stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and views using T-SQL
  • Use SQL Management Studio to perform tasks such as database indexing, modifying schemas, and conducting unit tests
  • Solid understanding of database development, design, and management
  • Familiarity with performance tuning and optimization
  • Proficiency in SSRS

Nice to have:

  • Solid understanding of python and C#
