Responsibilities
- Designing and delivering data models/schemas
- Designing, building and maintaining data pipelines that create efficient data science and data analyst data marts, ensuring solutions are optimised for processing of typical queries and reducing repetitive processing
- Identifying and implementing ways to increase efficiency and improve data reliability through automation
- Completing all relevant testing to ensure code is de-bugged and the data marts and tools are robust and accurate
- Recommending on how data should be structured to deliver optimum user experience at the right speed while minimising platform cost
- Creating and maintaining both technical and user documentation (including data dictionaries)
- Reporting on data quality and recommend ways to increase data cleanliness and improve our cleansing activities
- Recommending methodologies for matching and transforming data ( Unified Consumer View)
Skills and Experience
- Significant experience of working within a data and analytics team to deliver data and tools into a data-driven community
- Practical knowledge of designing, implementing and using relational, graph, noSQL databases
- Proven technical skills with the Hadoop and a broad range of associated technologies, such as Python, Spark, HIVE, NoSQL, SQL, Dataiku, Talend, Linux, Java, Jenkins, Azure, S3, others
- Experience with big data platforms, data architecture and design techniques and working with large data sets
- Excellent communication to senior stakeholders and peers, and the ability to translate technical concepts, and their impacts on the business, to non-technical audiences
- A collaborative approach to delivery with an owner mindset
- Very good knowledge of English in speech and writing
- At least communicative knowledge of Polish language
