What you’ll do?

• Red Hat® Certified Engineer (RHCE®) or Linux Professional Institute LPIC-2
• An ITIL qualification is desirable but not essential
• Strong Linux Skills around server installation, management, troubleshooting.
• A solid understanding of how applications interact with the Windows Operating System and Citrix forms an essential part of this role.
• VMware 7/8; basic working knowledge is essential.
• Enterprise Linux products.

• Authentication infrastructure – LDAP, SSSD, Active Directory.
• Server, Blade and chassis Hardware.
• High availability and DR concepts essential.
• Orchestration tools - Red Hat Satellite, Ansible, Puppet

• Hardware (HP servers\Synergy / Blade Centres) desirable

What you’ll bring:

• Providing 3rd line support troubleshooting many diverse technologies including but not limited to Linux (Redhat); VMWare; Exchange; HPE hardware; Windows 2012/2016/2019/2022; Active Directory; DNS; DHCP; SAN storage.
• In depth knowledge of cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Implement and configure cloud servers, virtual machines, containers, and related services based on industry best practices.
• Monitor and optimize cloud server performance, capacity, and availability to ensure optimal user experience.
• Working to strict change control governance.
• Acting as and constantly developing as a technical expert within specified technologies.
• Providing in-depth investigations and root cause analysis of incidents and outages, reporting as in accordance with company guidelines.
• Hands-on experience in the architecting and design of infrastructure-based services, including high availability, site security and disaster recovery. Includes evaluations, automation, design, delivery and distribution.
• Capable of producing Technical High-Level Designs, Technical Low-Level Designs and Documentation to support a System/Application.
• Act as escalation point for team members in the resolution of complex problems.
• Provide direction and ensure delivery of technical based projects.
• Escalate complex issues as appropriate to senior team members.
• Provide technical input on projects.
• Working within published SLAs and OLAs.
