An overview of the role:

As a Senior Consultant Solutions Architect on Big Data, and AI, you will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for helping customers successfully modernize their applications, migrate them to the Cloud native platforms, and infuse AI in existing solution. You will work closely with clients and partners in guiding them in building new solutions that incorporate the very best of Data & AI solution available today, by providing architectural deep dive and hands-on expertise.

As a Senior Consultant Solutions Architect in the business, you’ll help set the direction, driving forward the business, model our values and behaviours, and coach and develop junior members of the team.

Key expectations from this role include:

You will work alongside an extremely talented diverse team in Invent and collaborate with peers across various other orgs within Capgemini. You will be whiteboarding complex architecture, writing useful technical collateral for your customers and the community, you will be speaking at strategic conferences, and you be working with customers building MVPs, but most importantly, you will be the number one Trusted Advisor to your customer.

You will also be working in crafting solution area “Go to Markets” that are relevant to our clients, to accelerate their journey in adopting cloud data platforms and align with their strategy.

As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:

  • Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
  • Internal contribution – Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
  • Learning & development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.

We’d love to meet someone with:

  • Currently working in a major Consulting firm, and/or in industry but having a Consulting background Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation, and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.
  • Experience of proposition building and delivery.

  • Currently working in a major Consulting firm, and/or in industry but having a Consulting background.
  • Prior work experience in a Consulting/Architecture position is essential. We are looking for Unicorns who have deep data platform experience, but also ability to operate as an advisor to senior data leaders in client organisations.
  • Deep understanding of Cloud native Big Data, Analytics, BI, ML & AI technologies, with the technical aptitude and experience to learn new technologies and understand relevant cloud trends.
  • Hands-on experience in migrating clients from on-prem to Cloud native data platforms (Azure Synapse, HDInsight, Databricks, Snowflake, EMR, BigQuery, DataProc, Cloudera, Hortonworks etc), or experience in building Data Mesh will be highly beneficial.
  • Proven track record of building deep technical relationships with senior Data executives (both from IT and business) and growing data services in large or highly strategic accounts. Ability to understand people, process, and technology.
  • Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences (Senior Executives, IT management and developers).
