Capgemini Global Insights & Data business line is a market leader in Data Engineering, Cloud Data Platforms, Data Science, and Generative AI and Next Gen Analytics across all sectors including financial services, public sector, consumer products, manufacturing & life sciences. Our offerings include end-2-end data integration to cloud platform, complete suite of AI engineering capabilities and a category of sector-based advanced analytics / AI solutions.

This is a unique opportunity within the Insights & Data (I&D) Global Business Line (GBL) to help grow the Generative AI and Next Gen Analytics across all sectors in Australia and New Zealand. You will help shape AI deals within the business and understand our client’s demands to bring maximum value, impact, and innovation to the market. You are most likely already based in Sydney or Melbourne though we are potentially able to accommodate other base locations within Australia.


Let’s talk about the roles and responsibilities:

The AI Business Partner is the I&D lead for growing revenue associated with AI, GenAI and Advanced Analytics across Australia and New Zealand. The role will develop strategies to grow AI related revenue with existing and new clients and execute those strategies in collaboration with teams across local and global jurisdictions.

The role will have deep expertise in AI and Advanced Analytics techniques and use cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data and analytics and had exposure to c-suite executives in organisations that leverage data as a competitive advantage.

You will understand how to leverage AI based solutions to deliver value across many industries and experience in how to manage change associated with AI/GenAI solution implementation. The role will have industry exposure across banking, insurance, government, consumer products, retail, and energy & utilities.

The AU/NZ market for AI capabilities and solutions is growing fast and the role requires a strong entrepreneurial spirit to drive significant business growth. The scope of role includes the transfer of industry, technical and product knowledge to customers via good written, verbal and presentation skills. This will entail Interaction with various customer stakeholders to interpret and evaluate business objectives, requirements, and propose AI/GenAI solutions.

  • Lead and close AI, GenAI and Advanced Analytics deal pursuits in the Australia & New Zealand BU for Insights & Data.
  • Leverage global assets developed for AI/GenAI around the world and tailor them to the local market to bring winning propositions to clients.
  • Close deals to achieve an annual sales target of approximately $7-10 million AUD.
  • Network with global SMEs to develop tailored solutions that bring competitive advantage to local clients.
  • Convert winning sales into revenue and ensure year on year growth plans continue at a faster pace than the broader market.
  • Build a strong brand in the region for deep expertise in AI, GenAI and Advanced Analytics through both individual contribution as well as developing capability with the AI, Analytics & Data Science Capability Lead.
  • Present solutions and respond to RFPs, review contractual agreements, and work with Project Management team on proposals and SOWs.
  • Build strategy for accelerated growth in AI, GenAI and Advanced Analytics in AU and NZ.
  • Engage with Group Account Executives to target clients with AI solution and plan the overall client relationship strategy.


Let’s talk about your capability and experience:

  • At least 15-20 years of experience in senior to executive level role leading data, analytics, and data science teams in large organisations.
  • Experience in driving business growth in a sell and deliver professional services market focused on Generative AI, Cloud Data Platforms, Advanced Analytics, and AI/ML projects.
  • Adept at eliciting and articulating data, advanced analytics, Generative AI, and AI/ML use cases. Must have experience building business cases/value realisation models to illustrate business benefits of AI based solutions.
  • Ability to utilise critical thinking skills, perform strategic planning and conduct project management.
  • Demonstrated ability as a strong collaborator who can work across multiple divisions and bring business solutions to clients alongside practices focus on SAP, Salesforce, Application Management, Consulting and Engineering, etc.
  • Excellent client interaction, problem-solving & communication skills.
  • Data science or STEM degree is preferred.
  • High-level knowledge of defining and delivering innovation & business solutions to complex challenges enabled by AI/GenAI and new technologies.

Technical Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of the Data & AI market.
  • Sales / Account Management / delivery experience in Consulting, IT Services, Digital, Cloud, etc.
  • Experience of working in large consulting companies, in a matrix structure, across geographies and cultures.
  • Strong sector / domain experience is preferred along with broader information technology concepts.

Leadership:

  • Strong client facing experience and C-level relationship management experience. This person must be passionate, have high positive energy, excellent communication & negotiation skills.
