Roles and responsibilities:
As a Azure Data Migration Lead Engineer, you can oversee and execute complex data migration projects. As a key team member, you will collaborate with clients to understand requirements, design migration strategies, and ensure successful implementation on Microsoft Azure cloud platforms. You will lead a team of engineers, manage timelines and budgets, and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle. Your expertise in Azure services, data integration, ETL processes, and database technologies will be crucial in delivering high-quality solutions that meet client objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end data migration projects to Azure cloud platforms.
- Collaborate with clients to define migration strategies and requirements.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient data migration solutions.
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring project delivery within timelines and budget.
- Provide technical expertise in Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, etc.
- Develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
- Conduct performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization of Azure data solutions.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.
- Act as a subject matter expert, advising stakeholders on best practices and innovative solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including architects, developers, and project managers.
- Proven experience as a Lead Engineer in Azure data migration projects.
- Expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud services and data migration tools.
- Strong knowledge of database technologies such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.
- Experience in designing and implementing ETL processes using tools like Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Talend, etc.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and solutions.
- Ability to lead a team, manage project timelines, and provide technical leadership.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with clients and stakeholders effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., Azure certifications) preferred.
