Job Description:

Capgemini Engineering seeks a dynamic Engineering Client Manager - Energy to join our team. The Client Partner will research and pursue current clients and new business leads for the growth of the business.

  • Leading existing client relationships and driving new Engineering Services bookings within the Energy sector (Oil & Gas) for both established and prospective clients.
  • Developing and presenting engineering solutions directly to clients, coordinating with domain authorities and other solution owners within the company.
  • Presenting, promoting, and selling solutions/services using well-crafted arguments to both existing and prospective customers.
  • Engaging with customers at VP and C-Suite levels.
  • Researching, mapping, establishing, developing, and maintaining strong relationships with prospects and client team members.
  • Collaborating with other Sales Leaders to identify major opportunities in specific focus areas (sector, offers).
  • Analyzing the territory/market potential, supervising sales, and providing status reports.
  • Leading client relationships independently or with support from a client Leader, identifying the client’s key engineering challenges, preferences, and purchasing triggers.
  • Structuring and shaping deals for value, demonstrating, and providing input on offerings, services, and capabilities.
  • Responsible for revenue, order bookings, and P&L for the client business, aiming to grow the business.
  • Increase repeat business by comprehending client context, upselling, and cross-selling; provide strategic suggestions to shape the client value proposition and develop effective pitches.
  • Supervising client engagement levels closely, conducting periodic business reviews, and implementing measures to gain traction with the client.
  • Achieving agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within the scheduled timeframe.

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of sales experience in selling engineering, design, and consulting services.
  • Shown experience selling to Energy customers (e.g., ExxonMobil, Chevron, Shell, BP, Baker Hughes, SLB) for professional services and engineering deployments.
  • Extensive background in Product Engineering, Software Engineering, Digital Engineering, Manufacturing, and Design solution selling.
  • Won and led deals of $10million+ independently in Engineering services and solution sales.
  • Shown ability to build senior-level client relationships.
  • Ability to develop sales plans for assigned geography.
  • Skill in identifying, mobilizing, and handling internal and external collaborators to achieve revenue goals.
  • Strong understanding of financials, profitability, and cash flow.

Nice to Have Skills:

    • Proven experience selling creative complex business models and engineering and design services into Energy oil and gas customers, strong background in solution selling.
    • Proven track record to build deep, consultative, trust-based client relationships strong knowledge, understanding client’s business with references of 15+ years.
    • Ability to lead one large or multiple small programs and develop sales plan for the assigned customer portfolio and individual Account Plans.
    • Passionate about value selling and high-value models of selling with understanding and implementation of company strategy on financials, offerings, segments, target accounts.
