AWS Senior DevOps Engineer
The Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer together with the highly skilled and driven team will enable the adoption of Public Cloud utilization and perform operations and development in a complex environment at scale. The position will allow to not only develop and utilize deep technical skills but also contribute to the design and implementation of a Public Cloud platform. We are looking for the person that, together with the team, will secure execution towards roadmap milestones and our Cloud strategy, daily this might include.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on Amazon Web Services(AWS) cloud platform.
- Stay updated with the latest cloud services, features, and capabilities offered by AWS and evaluate their applicability to business needs.
- Help the team automate processes related, but not limited to cloud operations, security configuration, account management and cost optimization.
- Promote the Public Cloud offering internally to our stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and business units to understand requirements, prioritize initiatives, and align cloud strategies with business objectives.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior architects, engineers, and developers to foster a culture of innovation, learning, and continuous improvement
Must have skills:
- Deep knowledge of AWS. This includes a deep understanding of platform services, features, and best practices.
- Ability to build scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud platform solutions based on business requirements and industry best practices. This involves adhering to security and compliance standards.
- Experience with Cloud Foundations constructs for Enterprises, such as AWS control Tower, Cloud Adoption Framework etc
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation templates to provision and manage cloud resources programmatically.
- Use of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery. The tool is less important - experiences and a mindset to try/execute CI/CD pipelines at scale is key.
- Comfortable with Go (and Python) since we use these languages extensively on our team to build serverless integrations and API’s.
- Fluent with best practices for software development with a passion for automation
- Great communication skills plus well spoken and written English
Nice to have skills:
- Other cloud knowledge – GCP/ Azure.
- Ability to translate strategic plans to technical deliverables, including to operational readiness and stability.
- FinOps – Cloud Economics, Cost Optimization, Cost Visualization
- Experience with practical security and networking
Must have criteria:
- EU citizenship - hybrid work model possible within Europe
- Start date within 2-3 weeks
