To strengthen our Consumer Products, Retail & Manufacturing team in Switzerland, we are seeking for our Zurich office, an experienced and dynamic Manufacturing Senior Manager / Director with a strong background in consulting. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth, managing delivery performance, and achieving financial targets. This role demands a strategic thinker with excellent account management and business development skills to enhance our client relationships and expand our market presence. The perfect fit for this role will possess a deep knowledge of manufacturing and strong understanding of sustainable solutions in manufacturing sector, including industrial products, machinery, tooling, defense and aerospace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Management and Business Development
  • Assume executive-level accountability for growth, delivery performance, and financial metrics
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans and go-to-market strategies in collaboration with Account Managers and the Head of Sales
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and expand market share specifically focused on manufacturing and CPR sector
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention

Capability Development

  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential threats and opportunities for the business
  • Develop capabilities in lean and sustainable manufacturing and operational efficiencies
  • Foster a culture of learning and innovation, encouraging the adoption of best practices and new technologies
  • Enhance knowledge of digital transformation initiatives, including Industry 4.0, IoT, and data analytics
  • Develop strategies for implementing digital solutions to improve manufacturing and CPR processes

Delivery

  • Reflecting future business needs and industry evolution
  • End-to-end delivery of services aligned with contractual requirements
  • Develop trusted relationships with decision makers within the client organization
  • Oversee the delivery of services for multiple clients in Switzerland

Your qualifications

  • Academic excellence: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, applied sciences, or economics
  • Industry knowledge and consulting experience: 10+ years of experience in a management consulting environment with a focus on CPR & Manufacturing industry with a track record in digital manufacturing and supply chain. Proficient in commercial strategy with a proven record of driving profitability and growth. Demonstrates disciplined financial execution, reliable forecasting, and effective risk and opportunity management
  • Conceptual talent: ability to understand and manage complex contracts. Proven ability to set and execute strategy, defining and iterating strategic offers value proposition. Passionate and strategic thinker leading from the front in managing a business consisting of multiple large, complex customers
  • Communication and presentation: fluent in English and German.
  • Leadership skills: bright and energetic leader internally with exceptional client gravitas and a hunger for winning
  • Digital affinity: very good MS office skills
  • Cultural fit: Empathetic, communicative, team-oriented and personal fit for a leading global management consulting firm (international orientation & openness to travel, integrity).
