Let us talk about the roles and responsibilities:

The MES Backend developer will focus on configuring and customizing the more technical aspects of the application. The successful candidate must create reports and business rules and configure or extend the integration with external applications. This role requires a basic understanding of the MES systems and manufacturing process and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on software development (in C# / .NET and others) for clients in the manufacturing industry.
• Work with the SMEs and key stakeholders to configure and customize the more technical aspects of the MES application for relevant business operation challenges.
• Create reports, and business rules, and configure or extend the integration with external applications.
• Ensure that the design and deployment of the technical solution are aligned with the customer's security, performance, scalability, and capacity expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or other IT-related field.
• 4+ years of experience in software development.
• Excellent knowledge of Object Oriented Programming, and backend technologies.
• Experience and knowledge of C# and .Net for at least 1 year.
• Good knowledge of relational database concepts and hands-on experience with SQL.
• Hands-on experience in PowerShell and Command Line shell scripting languages
• Experience in supporting MES projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams is preferred.
• At least working proficiency in other languages (for example, Python, Javascript/ TypeScript, Angular, Java, REST API, or other related languages) is a bonus.
• Experience working in a lean/agile development environment with remote teams
• Experience with source control tools (preferably Git).
• Good communication (in English) and organization skills.
• Excellent debugging and optimization skills.
• Unit/Integration testing experience.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with a toolbox system.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work within a fast-paced, consulting environment.
• Ability to motivate and deliver results.

Additional Experience:

• MES Basics (MES Fundamentals, Model Development, Material Tracking).
• Operations intelligence modules (FabLives, Dashboards, BI Cards, Data Warehouse).
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (Swarm / Kubernetes).
• Basic integrations and custom development.
• Reporting customization.
• Enterprise Integration.
• Business logic extension.
• Experience in unit testing frameworks.
