Job description:

Capgemini Engineering is looking for an Engineering Client Manager to join our team in New York, NY. This role involves leading client relationships in the Media sector, driving business growth, and delivering innovative solutions. Strong listening skills and some travel required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key collaborators at Media sector clients, acting as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities demonstrating our capabilities to provide tailored engineering solutions that address client needs.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive account strategies to drive revenue growth, align with client goals, and ensure the successful delivery of services.
  • Lead the delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including sales, engineering, and delivery, to coordinate efforts and deliver seamless solutions to clients.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitive landscape to provide clients with innovative solutions.
  • Monitor account performance, lead budgets, and ensure profitability while meeting financial targets.
  • Serve as the voice of the client within t, advocating for their needs and ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in Media & Entertainment Sales.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering (master’s preferred) or related field.
  • Minimum seven years in account management, business development, or a similar role within the media industry.
  • Consistent track record of managing and growing large client accounts.
  • Strong understanding of the media industry, particularly in content delivery, broadcasting, and related workflows/systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with advanced digital transformation initiatives across key verticals.
  • Strong background in Product/Process Engineering.
  • Ability to communicate and influence at senior business levels.
  • Confirmed sales experience in Engineering Services within a global, complex environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding annual sales targets.
  • Strong commercial savvy, project/program delivery, and solution development experience.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Strong business leadership skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a matrix organization.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with Media companies like Disney ESPN.
  • Experience in business plan and argument development and execution.
  • Solid understanding of modern enterprise architecture and applications.
  • Experience in direct, collaborative, and channel-based selling.
  • Experienced in independently leading deals worth $5-10 million.
  • Hunter mentality with a tenacious approach to prospecting and closing.
  • Vitality in execution and accountability for results.

Additional Notes:

The ideal candidate must be comfortable engaging at the executive level while also driving technical solutions with a cross-functional team. They should possess a vision of the communications Industry and understand how Communications-based solutions can facilitate modernization and new product deployment alongside advanced analytics, AI/ML, Cloud-Based architectures, and modern enterprise applications.

Capgemini discloses salary range information in compliance with state and local pay transparency obligations. The disclosed range represents the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting, although we may ultimately pay more or less than the disclosed range, and the range may be modified in the future. The disclosed range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, geographic location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is [$116,000 to $223,000/yr]. This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees. Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
