YOUR ROLE

Project aims at integrating and harmonizing data from strategic platforms into our global data platform. We look for a data engineer to create, maintain and improve pipelines from source to harmonized layer and from harmonized layer to consumption layer for Power BI reporting. The business domains primarily focus on Commercial insurance pricing and underwriting.

YOUR ROLE

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient data pipelines and databases utilizing SQL, Stored Procedures, Azure Synapse and Azure Data Factory
• Development of new functionality in the Python-based ETL pipeline
• Plan capacity and sizing of the service components, proactive cloud component management
• Initiating planning and set up of new service components
• Coordinate the operations and maintenance of related software, complex server infrastructure and databases (Synapse, PowerBI, Local development)
• Maintain service related documentation according with our client Technology standards
• Coordinate with various stakeholders in development, architecture, rollout and operations teams as well as with customers for releases/upgrades/changes
• Manage and support service related risk assessments and audits

YOUR PROFILE

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering
• Solid experience with database systems (Oracle / PostgreSQL / SQL / PL/SQL)
• Hands-on experience with building complex SQL queries and creating ETL loads
• Understanding of data warehouse modeling and architectures
• Proficiency with Python
• Commercial experience with clouds, Azure ideally
• Experience using Git/GitHub for version control, along with familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Nice to have:

• Experience with Azure Synapse and Azure Data Factory
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Basic understanding of Kafka and data streaming
