Job Location: Remote, USA

We are looking for a Software Engineer who can develop and enhance existing simulation software providing prediction and visualization of global satellite performance for various mobility traffic using data services!

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance existing computational models to analyze and predict satellite link performance and usage for various forms of mobility traffic.
  • Expertise in spatial and temporal projections of data over various geographic boundaries.
  • Collaborate with existing databases and tables in AWS Data Lake
  • Design software tools and subsystems to support software development, test, and reuse, and handle their implementation.
  • Enhance software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency.
  • Develop system architecture and design including software and interface requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and evaluate interface documentation, specifications, test plans and procedures.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience!
  • Minimum 8+ years of software development experience or an equivalent combination of IFE (In flight Entertainment) systems/engineering experience combined with 5 plus years of software development experience.
  • Proficient with Spatial Database, Time Series Database or other types of databases.
  • Proficient with PostgreSQL client applications and utilities.
  • Experience writing SQL and MySQL queries.
  • Experience with open-source and product based geographic mapping tools (Google Earth, Map Server, ArcGIS) and analytics engines, data charts and plots (Google Charts, Elastic, plotly….) supporting 2D and 3D visualization
  • Proficient with writing application software in MATLAB, along with C/C++ or Python.
