Let’s talk about the role and responsibilities:
Test Data Management (TDM) Engineer will collaborate with other teams to determine test data requirements, curate and maintain test data, setup test data for centralized test campaigns, co-ordinate and maintain data related alignment activities in-line within the Testing environments.
Responsibilities:
- Test Data aging of data and general consumption status tracking & reporting.
- Working with business leads to support data clean-up processes.
- Maintain specific data sets that are identified for ongoing retention.
- Highlight risks, issues and dependencies relating to data requirements.
- Undertake Test data setup and alignment across integrated Applications and systems for data requests.
- Validate the data for quality alignment and suitability for testing as per the initial data request using a combination of TDM queries & custom toolsets for verifying data and manual checks.
- Support Defect triage during test execution by the testers and coordinated by Defect Managers.
- Monitor data allocation and maintain ongoing tracking of available data and availability to ensure optimized usage of data.
- Store inventories of commonly requested regression data types for efficient allocation of data, support continuous Test Automation suites and where possible, self-service by teams.
- Work with external teams for specialised data requirements to load data.
- Participate in release kick-off sessions and assess type of data requirement to support test execution in the central integrated test environments.
- Highlight risk/issues and dependencies related to data requirement during test planning phase of any release.
- On-going maintenance, configuration and development of the Test Data Management Self-Serve Portal.
- Integrate data from external sources into the testing environment seamlessly, especially when formats or structures vary.
- Effectively manage issues which arise due to resource constraints when relying on external teams for data provisioning or management tasks.
- Utilise, maintain, and improve existing automated scripts or tools for provisioning test data efficiently across different testing environments.
- Ensure Test Data Management processes and tools are compatible with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Communicate completion of configurations, access setups, and data requests.
- Ability to work in highly time bound environment in customer facing roles supporting both ticketed & non-ticketed TDM requests.

This service produces clearly identifiable results, notably the reduction in the cost of software development and maintenance by up to 30%, enhanced quality levels, improved time to market, and importantly mitigation of technical and business risks.
Let’s talk about your capability and experience:
- TDM frameworks, data validation, environment synchronization, and automated data provisioning.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with specific tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow) and automation frameworks.
- Foundation/Associate (preferred), ISTQB Testing.
- Tools Knowledge: GitHub, DevTest, JMeter, Jenkins pipelines, and performance monitoring tools.
- Soft Skills: Advanced problem-solving, stakeholder management, and team collaboration.
- SQL Query expertise, Test data / tables validation and requirement understanding and delivering.
