As our Senior BackEnd Engineer (m/f/x), you will be...
Playing a central role in the design and development of our backend system and architecture.
Contributing actively to product management and influencing our features right from the start.
Lifting the intelligence of our robo advisor and the efficiency of our insurance operations team.
Interacting closely with colleagues who use your software to service our customers.
Conceptualising and delivering features on a platform that will soon serve > 500,000 customers.

What you ideally have
5+ years of professional software development experience.
Solid understanding of the principles of backend engineering, domain modeling, and core web technologies.
Strong knowledge of Elixir programming language and its ecosystem.
Experience with Phoenix web framework.
Understanding of functional programming principles.
You have a sound knowledge of cloud infrastructure and provisioning, especially using AWS.
Strong understanding of software development best practices and design patterns.
Understanding and applied experience in Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment.
Solid grasp of SQL and relational Databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
Experience with Erlang/OTP is a great asset.
And finally, experience with Javascript Frontend Frameworks especially with React and React Native is nice to have.
