Introduction of Lifecycle Management

What links development, production, market, and customer functions? The Lifecycle Management (LCM) Department. We're creating ONE company flow by steering projects hand-in-hand with teams throughout the organization from the initial project idea to project realization and through to final production.

LCM is involved in the product strategy, Business Strategy, Connectivity and e-Mobility. These functions are composed of 8 departments (6 in Japan, 2 in India) with a headcount of ca. 160 people.

Job Description

Product Planning and Strategy for combustion powertrain

  • · Define, create, lead and implement strategy and product planning activities, such as Future Project List, Roadmaps & Target pictures, Concept decisions and Project Kick-off (QGS to QG9)

    · Define and integrate line functions, external service providers and suppliers to create a cross-functional project team to ensure project deliverables (cost, timeline, quality) are met at each project milestone and ensure project documentation

    · Manage Global & local Stakeholder in a pro-active manner

    · Prepare and report strategy and project documents in top management committees

    · Define suitable interfaces to Diesel/H2-ICE projects to ensure components roadmaps are aligned to the product strategy

    · Proactively review market trends, competitors and technology to ensure best potential portfolio available for customers and company

    · Candidate is able to work polite and with patience against resistance in a volatile planning and strategy environment

· Diesel or Zero emission vehicle and/or powertrain know how

· Proven project management skills

· Experiences in leading cross-functional teams

· Distinctive ability to grasp complex scenarios and carve out business opportunities

· Excellent communication and presentation skills

· Critical thinking and challenging status quo mindset

· Entrepreneurial mindset that understands the dependencies in an agile business environment

· Understanding of the Commercial Vehicle market and product knowledge is a plus


■ Practical Knowledge

· Experience in Project Management in an automotive company or related industry

· Knowledge about combustion engines functionality

· Business development expertise in the automotive & mobility environment

· Project management experience


■ Language

· English : Business Level

· Japanese: Conversation Level


■ Microsoft Office
Making presentations to communicate the strategic ideas and directions to the team and also to help with data analysis

■Job Experience
