The Role:

• Diagnosing faults and carrying out electro/mechanical repairs and maintenance work at customer premises and service partner locations.
• Ensuring all jobs are processed in an efficient manner and in compliance with legal and/or company standards.
• Providing technical cover in Fleet Operations, Mordon Wharf, for holiday and sickness.
• Providing additional resource support on site at Daimler Buses UK in Coventry when necessary.
• Communicating and liaising with both the Regional Customer Service and Technical Managers ensuring customer or technical issues are recorded and discussed.
• Extensive travel to and from customer and service partner premises.
• Building & maintaining excellent customer relationships.
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment at all times, reporting any deficiencies.
• Maintaining a high standard of presentation to promote and enhance business reputation and professionalism.

Your Profile:

• A recognised motor industry apprenticeship is essential.
• Must hold a UK Driving Licence.
• Experience in a busy workshop is essential.
• Qualifications in electrical/mechanical PSV repairs is desirable.
• Experience of roadside recovery including relevant certification is desirable.
• PCV/PSV license is desirable.
• A comprehensive understanding of PSV vehicle electrical systems is essential.
• Electro/mechanical knowledge relevant to the bus and coach industry is desirable.
