Welcome to Daimler Trucks' worldwide sales of Mercedes-Benz engine systems, transmissions and axles to third-party customers!
We at Mercedes-Benz Powertrain offer our customers (OEMs) technical solutions based on the aggregate product portfolio of Mercedes-Benz Trucks and Evobus.
As technical sales, we provide all the necessary activities from the initial customer contact through the processing of offers, the specific adaptation of the units to customer needs, the creation of all necessary customer documents, after-sales and finally the implementation of trade fairs and special events from a single source. Variety and challenging tasks are ensured.

You have product experience in the truck or bus sector and know powertrain-specific E/E architectures for combustion engines and electric drives such as HV battery systems.
Are you enthusiastic about working with international customers who can provide you with technically sound advice regarding our drive systems (motors, batteries), their specifics and interfaces? Then you should definitely apply to us!

These will be your main challenges and tasks:

  • Independent technical support and advice in the area of electrics/electronics for external customers for the worldwide sale of our Mercedes-Benz truck and bus drive systems (combustion engines and electric drives) from customer inquiries through commissioning to series support
  • Examination of customer requirements for technical feasibility, taking into account deadlines, operating conditions and economic requirements, as well as coordination with the affected internal areas
  • Commissioning of new developments based on customer requirements and legal regulations with coordination of implementation
  • Clarification of technical questions related to the electronic components and their functionalities
  • Conducting training courses on electronic architecture, components and their function at OEMs
  • Commissioning of initial installations at OEMs
  • Supporting the mechanical applicators of technical sales in preparing the scope of delivery as well as the commercial areas in preparing offers and the service areas in analyzing complex field problems
  • Information and coordination of customer-relevant changes with the OEMs
  • Planning and defining the specifications of future electronic components and diagnostic tools for external customers in coordination with the projects for internal customers
  • Supporting the service areas and analyzing complex field problems using existing diagnostic tools
  • Collaboration and coordination with the transmission and axle application in the so-called fully integrated Mercedes-Benz Powerpack projects
  • Optimization of product portfolio as well as management and coordination of complex projects
