Telematics Component Owner Roles and Responsibilities:
- In-Depth Knowledge on Telematics Domain ECUs (Mandatory)
- In-Depth Knowledge on Daimler ICM process
- Hands on knowledge on Telematics ECY Software development and Release process including Field roll out and ramp up (Mandatory)
- Single point of Contact for Domain ECU’s for any topic or issue (Hardware and Software).
- Budget planning for next releases
- Responsible for the module strategy and in the module group and in Global Functional team meeting.
- Coordination with supplier about the change in sub system parts in the components.
- Homologation responsibility including Coordination and support for EMC measurements on the vehicle
- HIL: Participation and providing information for concept tests in E/E (design reviews and B sample tests)
- Development and series support for components- ECU’s for Daimler Truck which fulfil the legal regulations and production demands, the objectives from the project, module strategy, with regard to function, quality, weight and costs.
- SOP planning and implementation: Creation, control and maintenance of a schedule (with component and software release versions) taking into consideration process milestones at entire vehicle level in consultation with Purchase, Logistics, Calculation and Quality
- Generation and release of the ECU-coding (or coordination of the system-coding)
- To ensure documentation of the progress in development in the Research and development systems
- Release of the components including Hardware, Software, Diagnostics
- Supplier management – Issues, unanticipated problems and problematic parts delivery.
- Coordinating the development process with the supplier
- Coordination of ECU diagnosis in plant, aftersales, proto-build shop etc.
- Creation and coordination of change requests for changes in components
- Responsible for VMM changes
- Responsible for VMM integration, CDD integration and also Coproc parameter changes.
- Responsible to CR management with External and Internal teams
- Telematics Device management experience (Highly preferred)
Knowledge You Should Bring (Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of DFMEA, FTA, and DFA methodologies.
- Familiarity with ISO 26262 Functional Safety standards.
- Excellent training and communication skills. Self-starter, Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- 2+ years of experience in Safety Analysis Methods.

- Process tuning of Telematics team to align and follow requirement engineering
- Creation and possibly updating the requirements specification for components, integration of safety requirements; creation of contributions for concept specification and vehicle specification
- Helping Requirement Engineer to handle the blocker topics or in handling process leaks.
