ABOUT US

At Daimler Truck, we change today’s transportation and create real impact together. We take responsibility around the globe and work together as one global team. We drive our progress and success together – everyone at Daimler Truck makes the difference. Together, we want to reduce our carbon footprint, increase safety on and off the track, develop smarter technology and attractive financial solutions. All essential, to fulfill our purpose - for all who keep the world moving.

Become part of our global team: You make the difference - YOUMAKEUS
In the ADAS Sensor Fusion and Control team, we process vehicle sensors such as radar and camera systems, as well as internal vehicle measurements, into a consistent environment model with objects, lanes, etc. To this end, we develop robust estimation methods to determine vehicle states and the surrounding environment that explicitly account for uncertainties. These observers form the basis for model‑based longitudinal and lateral dynamics control, enabling precise and safe vehicle behavior in everyday commercial vehicle operation.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
  • Development of robust, real‑time-capable controllers and online estimation of vehicle states
  • Design and implementation of model‑ and data‑driven observers for environment estimation
  • Production‑oriented implementation on the ECU (Electronic Control Unit) with a focus on numerical robustness and runtime performance
  • Testing and measurement data acquisition on prototypes; hands‑on validation and iterative improvement of the approaches in closed-loop

WHAT WE OFFER YOU

  • An exciting and varied activity in a dynamic environment
  • The possibility to work independently on projects and contribute your ideas
  • Attractive compensation and flexible working hours
  • Insights into the working world of a leading company in the commercial vehicle industry
  • Participation in and contribution to exciting exchange and networking formats of the cross‑site Students @ Daimler Truck network
